TXTING:THE GR8 DB8 and Tech helps students develop good study habits
technology helps students develop good study habits: I really like the idea that we as students can figure out just where we are grade wise. Its extremely helpful to know we can get alerts if our grades drop. It's good to know when we need to improve our grades. I mean its nice to be alerted when you are not up to par. Especially in the first few years when its most important for us to catch these things now. It's just like a subtle reminder letting us know that we need to step up our game. and every once in a while everyone needs to. I mean its human nature to slip up every now and then. And that is okay as long as we catch ourselves in the process of it. It feels like the school totally has our back in our success. And just that back up is enough to keep us going especially in the times where eerything seems to be falling apart. See, this technology isn't so bad. There are pros and cons to it. TXTING THE GR8 DB8: I can go so many ways with this. Sure texting is written in shorthand, sure it gives you carpal tunnel, sure it's difficult to differenciate when to and not to use the texting kanguage, and sure it may confuse some people as to what you might be saying but it's spiffy and we are writing more than we ever have in a long time and when you think about it we just stopped writing not too long ago and left it to the professionals. Now like diana said we write because its like our voice. And peoople write to be heard.
what i learned
Now since Iactually started school I can say it has been pretty easy but when you ask me to write something like what I learned, no ma'am . I could barely tell you how technology affects my life let alone what did I learned on Friday. I mean I have this thing were everyday while I'm sitting in class I realize damn, I'm in college right now. I graduated when no one thought i would. Iactually did it and I did it for me. Now here I am sitting in a college class writing about what I learned. And I can't very well say that I have gotten anything out of the curriculum. But I have gotten something out of this whole experience, and that is to keep your head in a book (and or computer) and not up your ass or in the clouds. Choose your group very carefully as welll as your friends. And never under any circumstances ever give up on yourself on your classes. Because once you switch on that I don't give a care button there is no turning it off. You can only go down hill from there. Its almost like you get into this mode where nothing matters it's really wierd. so as far as learning the curriculum goes it's kinda just there.

technology in my life
Too much can be said about technology today. (good and bad) and yet it still just keeps progressing as the years go on. They come out with new "this" and the upgrade to "that" its all a little bit mind boggling to someone always trying to keep up with the times and have the newest coolest "toy". or even more so confusing to the older generation who grew up with the biggest break through in technology being the color television. and now we have television on our phones, in our cars, and even on our refrigerators. It's a little ridiculous if i may say so myself . i mean for me its pretty convenient to not have to walk all the way to the television to change the channel . But if you think about it, it pretty much handicaps you . We have instant everything and we barely have to even have to move to make things happen i mean we dont even have to suck on a breathmint to make our breath smell better we have breath strips now i mean in the words of Ellen Degeneres "can't we not suck anymore!" i mean honestly folks, lets stop and reflect on this.

my complaints on an awful grade
Laura,
I cant believe the grade Mrs. Freeman gave me on that economics project. She hates me I know it I can't stand her I mean yea I used to eat in her class and the was the occasional tardiness and texting. But honestly, is that truly enough to totally dislike me for the rest of the semester. It's bad enough that I'm having trouble in my math class but can't she make these assignments a little easier. It's almost as if she wants us to fail, like she doesn't even care. My personal opinion is that she is too old to be teaching she is at the age where only the perfect all "A" students make her happy. You know that age right before retirement when you would rather be at home raising your wiener dogs than at school teaching a bunch of snot nosed brats their ABCs. And I know I don't come in every morning to study and what not but that's only because she is so rude and she gives me this look every time I ask a question like "Are you stupid or something" its just this blank look as if i had said something totally irrelevant, which I didn't. I mean I try to stay on topic but it's just hard to understand and she knows that it's a difficult for me and it's almost as if she doesn't care. I just can't believe this is just another thing i have to worry about . I mean damn, this is like the last class I want to be stressed out about. This sucks man, my dad is going to be so mad at me. Curse Mrs.Freeman!!! I just don't get it why is she trying to make my life miserable. I mean she talkes down to me and calls me out in front of the whole class, almost as if she is trying to embarrass me. But it doesn't I just make a joke out of it. And that's when she gets really mad. She is just one of those super miserable people that are never happy. It's really weird.
